Cool Windmill Power Stuff

Awesoma power!

Found this link while googling: OTHERPOWER.COM. As their site states, it surely is “The CUTTING EDGE of Low Technology.” Quite a fun site to look at, featuring a 15 foot diameter windmill blade, made from the trunk of a dead tree. I know, all wood comes from a dead tree trunk. Except this trunk they carved/milled themselves. Pretty cool.

I love the statement on their front page:

Otherpower.com’s headquarters is located in a remote part of the Northern Colorado mountains, 15 miles past the nearest power pole or phone line. And we refuse to move to town.
